The average American size for women is size 12 and the average for men is size 36. Even though that is the average American size that does not mean it is a healthy one. Studies that have been done show an alarming 36% of all adults in America are clinically obese, while 31% is overweight. The grand total of those figures equals out to about 67% of the American population is unhealthy.
Adults that are overweight do a lot less in life, and are more unhappy than people who are fit. If you have a weight problem and do not agree, you are most likely fooling yourself. Get yourself back on track and to where you want to be.
The crazy thing about the statement that overweight people do less, is that it surprises many people. Sadly, most people do not understand that they are just getting bigger, and keep adding on pounds. Instead of adding, why not take some away? Try not getting up for work extra early to wait in line at your local Starbucks for a latte. Skip out and walks to the vending machine for a few chips. Above all, quit telling yourself it’s impossible to lose weight! Just stop!
Mornings. Think about it. You get up earlier to leave for work earlier so you will have time to stop by Starbucks to wait in the long line for your overpriced and very fattening Mocha Latte. Stop! Why go through that process. Not only is it making your larger and shrinking your bank account, it sets the pace for a day of unhealthiness.
Substitute your morning liquid stimulant with a large glass of orange juice and a B12 vitamin. Jump start your metabolism by eating something as well. It is almost better to eat a extremely fattening breakfast than nothing at all to ensure your body starts metabolizing.
If you get hungry around lunchtime, why not go for a few fruits and vegetables and maybe even some nuts. When I snack, I do so on apples this they are rather hearty and can fill you up quickly. This is bad since the food eaten before sleeping does not digest right at all. If you cannot go without eating before going to bed then eat some nuts, vegetables, or fruits.
There is no secret to this. Losing weight starts with what you eat. You should be getting adequate exercise as well, but eating right is the catalyst for change.
As mentioned before, people tend to go out of their way, without meaning to, to make themselves fat. All you have to do is simply realize that what you are doing to causing you to gain weight. You must stop doing what you are doing and make healthier choices for yourself. It is only as hard as you make it out to be.
