Simple Strength Training

Question:

I’m looking for simple things to help build arm muscle without access to any real equipment. I’ve seen those little things that you continually squeeze for resistance training (not sure what they are called), does anyone know if those are any good?

Are you talking about torsion springs?

If you want something simple to build muscle, I highly recommend Bodylastics resistance bands like the ones shown below. That way you can workout your entire body, not just your arms.

See that door anchor? Just open up the door and close the door with the round foam part on the other side. You can place it over the door for doing overhead exercises, under the door for leg workouts or along side the door at chest level. The possibilities are endless. There’re ankle/wrist straps there, too.

Just so you can see what Bodylastics bands can do for you, click here for free resistance bands workouts. All you need to do is sign up for a free account. I recommend the muscle building workout show called Chiseled. You’ll also find an ab workout show called Eight Pack. 6-pack abs? pffft! Think bigger! There’s also a teen workout called TX2. There’s toning, strengthening, Pilates, kickboxing and baseball workouts. It’s all free.
