Resistance training for the neck?
Question:
I don’t have a gym membership, but I’ve figured out ways to train most of my body at home. One thing I struggle with is my neck. There are nice machines at the gym for training the neck, but I don’t know of any ways to do this at home. Does anyone have any good neck training techniques other than just pushing on my head with my hand?

You can do neck exercises for the trapezius muscle with resistance bands like the ones shown above.
Upright Row
1) Attach a handle to each end of a resistance band.
2) Stand on the band with feet shoulder width apart.
3) Grasp the handles with an overhand grip, palms facing the floor, hands comfortably apart (about 12″) and directly in front of you.
4) Lift straight up keeping the bands close to your body while bending at the elbows to a position where your elbows and forearms are parallel to the floor.
5) Lower the bands and repeat.
Shoulder Shrugs
1) Attach a handle to each end of a resistance band.
2) Stand on the band with feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart.
3) Grasp the handles at your sides and palms facing your hips.
4) With back and head straight and stomach tight, raise your shoulders stright up until they cannot go any higher. If there is not enough resistance from the band, move feet farther apart.
