Resistance Bands – An Alternative To Pull-Ups

I have recently started a new workout regime that includes pull-ups. Unfortunately I do not have access to a gym or park, and cannot install a pull-up bar in my apartment. I was told resistance bands can be used as an alternative, but cannot find exercises that would be similar. Would a lateral pull-down using the door attachment be close? Any other suggestion that do not include finding something to hang from (I don’t live in an area to do this)?

One Response to Resistance Bands – An Alternative To Pull-Ups

  • Door Anchor for Bodylastics Resistance BandsYou don’t need any type of bar to do pull-ups with resistance bands. All you need is a door anchor. There is nothing to attach because it fits in a closed door jamb. In the case of “pull-ups”, that would be at the top of the door.

Pull-ups work the back and biceps and those muscles can be worked out with actually having to pull up your own body weight.
