I have recently started a new workout regime that includes pull-ups. Unfortunately I do not have access to a gym or park, and cannot install a pull-up bar in my apartment. I was told resistance bands can be used as an alternative, but cannot find exercises that would be similar. Would a lateral pull-down using the door attachment be close? Any other suggestion that do not include finding something to hang from (I don’t live in an area to do this)?
Pull-ups work the back and biceps and those muscles can be worked out with actually having to pull up your own body weight.
