The quadriceps femoris (Latin for “four-headed [muscle] of the femur”), also called simply the quadriceps, quadriceps extensor, quads, is a large muscle group that includes the four prevailing muscles on the front of the thigh. It is the great extensor muscle of the knee, forming a large fleshy mass which covers the front and sides of the femur. It is the strongest and leanest muscle in the human body. –wikipedia

5’5” and 112 is very thin. Perhaps you need to eat more protein. Your body can’t build muscle with out it. Also, try doing lunges. If you’re already doing them, then use heavier weights and do fewer reps. When it comes to lower body exercises, this is the better way to go.

try squating, hack squat, running up inclines, like stadium bleachers, sand dunes; leg extensions, abductor and adductor presses, these muscles accumalate 1/3 of the leg so they are important

up your protein intake just a little not too much. slow down on the running/cardio and start doing squats and leg press 10/8/6/4 sets max weight for 10 8 6 and 4 reps just keep piling on the weight.
