Does Muscle Turn To Fat If You Stop Exercising?
Question:
I’ve been doing some resistance training lately, in particular lunges and triceps exercises with dumbbells. the thing is my quads and triceps get muscly after a few days of doing this. My question is, if i choose to stop these lunges or weight exercises will the muscle just turn into fat??
also, are there any leg excercises i could do to tone up the back and side of my legs as opposed to the front (quads)?
thanks

Muscle does not, cannot turn into fat. It’s biologically impossible because muscles cells and fat cells are completely different. If you stop working out your muscles will become less toned and flabby, but they will not turn into fat.
Dumbbells are fine for upper body workouts, but as you can see, they are useless for leg exercises. I suggest getting a set of Bodylastics resistance bands like the ones shown above and then you’ll be able to workout your entire body.
