Do resistance bands yield good results?

Im 5’5 and I weight 170 and have started making some changes and working out. But when I can’t go to the gym for some reason, I was thinking if doing workouts with resistance bands at home would be okay too? Also I was wanting to get a balance board and do those workouts and an ab wheel too? Would that work or not enough? thanks!

  • Skip the ab wheel. You don’t need contraptions like that. Click here for a free ab workout show called Eight Pack. Also check out Chiseled. Watch a few episodes of those and you might possibly stop going to the gym and start using resistance bands.

@Seagull, you’ve never seen Bodylastics resistance bands. You must be thinking of Pilates bands. Bodylastics bands are adjustable. You can combine the bands to create some crazy bad resistance.

They’re OK if you’re an exercise newbie, and they’re also OK to take on the road when you’re on a business trip or something, and there’s no gym around. In between that, not so useful, except when exclusively using as a part of a rehabilitation program.
