Can you take resistance bands (resistance tubes) on a plane?

Hey, I’ve Got a Question:

or are they illegal? Because technically a resistance band is a sophisticated rope…

Im on a 16 hour flight to canada. I don’t want to miss my workout.

Thanks

Sameh

  • Resistance Bands says:

resistance tubes are GREAT for taking with you on a trip, aren’t they? Try doing that will dumbbells.

Here is the TSA’s list of prohibited items. http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm The pattern I’m seeing is sharp stuff and things that can be used as a club-type weapon. I see no mention of rope or anything rope-like. But you might want to also contact the airline you plan on flying with to see if they have added their own list of items to the TSA list.

How about anyone else out there? If you’ve traveled with your resistance bands in your carry-on luggage, let us know how it worked out. Please leave a comment. =)
