Can resistance bands really help increase kicking speed?

 

I’ve Got a Question:

Im a taekwondo martial artist and want to increase my kicking speed, i was watching about this resistance bands, but don’t really know if they can help or just hurt the muscles or legs. Does anybody has any facts or personal experience using this resistance bands that you fasten on both your legs?… Should I get one?…

    Yes they work well and before they came out Billy Blanks used to use bicycle tire inner tubes for this. They help build the speed of your kick through the entire motion of doing them and have played around with them a little. Lately I have started messing around with one and my back-fist and it seems to have sped that technique up for me I have noticed.
