6 Dieting Time Savers
When you are trying to get in shape food preparation can become a massive thorn in your side. And most people don’t have all day to make meals.
The good news here is that some simple strategies can save you a massive amount of time and energy.
So here is how to spend less time in the kitchen when dieting:
1. Have the same meals again and again: This is the simplest, yet most effective way to save time. You see, when you prepare the same meals over and over again you become very fast. You learn all the shortcuts and tricks for speeding up preparation.
2. Spread out grocery shopping as much as possible: There is nothing worse than having to make a trip to the grocery store because you ran out of an ingredient. So do all of your grocery shopping on a set interval and spread it out as much as possible for maximum time savings.
3. Don’t purchase whole eggs: You are far better off buying the readymade egg whites or egg substitutes. Although a little more expensive, it’s far better than spending all morning extracting egg whites from whole eggs.
4. Go frozen: Don’t be afraid of frozen foods here. Not only do they preserve for very long periods of time, but they taste relatively good. Even better, frozen foods are usually cheaper than their fresh counterparts because of reduced transportation costs.
5. Prepare large quantities of protein: This is a great way to save time. You see, protein stores really well once cooked. And once you have a large base of cooked protein you can combine it with many different meals. Chicken, for instance, can be used in salads, soups, sandwiches, etc.
6. Use automatic appliances: Perhaps the best appliance here is a slow cooker. Just make sure you spend a little extra money for a better model. Slow cookers will be your best friend since they really do allow you to set and forget your meals.
Spending all day preparing healthy food to get in shape is not sustainable. And by following the advice in this article you will be well on your way to reaching your fitness goals!
